Heya all :) How's everyone doing?? Hope everyone is doing fine, with good health and happiness.. I am slightly feeling better.. Alhamdulillah.. Although I still feel a bit sniffly, but I'm afebrile... Wah, siok nya org d Brunei.. balik2 public holiday this month!! hehe.. another long weekend for the Bruneians.. Oh my, February will soon come to an end.. and here comes March.. Gosh, nda terasa masa atu berlalu.. Tup Tup.. bulan 3 sudah this year..
My week has been OK as usual.. with nothing special that I can think of.. I've seen a couple of new patients this morning.. Some are actually quite interesting.. There's this one patient who had a recent fall at home and was brought to the ED. She was fine actually, but the thing that brought my attention is about her family. She is 70+ years old and is a primary carer of her demented husband, 80 yo. Since she is hospitalized, she is worried about her husband's care at home.. obviously.. To my surprise, she actually has 2 daughters and none actually care for them!! They have been apart and seldom pay a visit.. It was a bit of heart breaking to hear this sort of stories.. Well, I've not listened from the daughters' side, but I think it is just unacceptable for kids not to care for their own parents.. even if the parents want to be independent, that doesn't mean that we kids should let go of our responsibilities.. right?? after all the sacrifices made, I think we do have the obligation to care for them esp when they are old and also sick!! Banar kata org.. "Indung tebagi makan anak 10, tpi alum tau anak 10 org dapat bagi makan indung 2 org.." Ada2 saja... mudahan tani terpelihara dari sikap nda kanang budi... amin..
